CANCELLATION POLICY

Last updated October 16, 2025

1. INTRODUCTION AND OUR ROLE

Welcome to Bookable U. This document outlines the cancellation policy as it pertains to the use of the Bookable U software platform ("Platform").

It is essential for all users ("Users", "Clients", "you") to understand that Bookable U is a technology company that provides a software platform for independent service providers ("Professionals", "Providers") to advertise, manage, and sell their services.

Bookable U does not provide the services listed on the Platform. We act solely as an intermediary, connecting Users with Professionals. As such, the contract for the service is between you, the User, and the Professional.

2. PROFESSIONAL-SPECIFIC CANCELLATION POLICIES

Each Professional using the Bookable U Platform is an independent business entity. They are solely responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcing their own cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show policies.

Individual Discretion:

Cancellation policies are set entirely at the discretion of the individual Professional. These policies will vary significantly between different Professionals.

Policy Variability:

A Professional's policy may include, but is not limited to, details on:

  • The required notice period for a penalty-free cancellation (e.g., 24 or 48 hours).
  • Fees or charges for late cancellations.
  • Fees or charges for failing to show up for a scheduled appointment ("no-show").
  • Conditions for rescheduling an appointment.
  • Specific terms for deposits or pre-payments.

It is the User's absolute responsibility to read, understand, and agree to the specific Professional's cancellation policy before completing a booking. The Professional's policy is typically available on their profile page on the Bookable U platform and/or is presented to you during the booking confirmation process. By confirming a booking, you are entering into an agreement with that Professional and agreeing to their stated terms.

3. HOW TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT

All cancellations must be processed directly through the Bookable U Platform via your user account. When you initiate a cancellation, our software will apply the rules of the specific Professional's cancellation policy that you agreed to at the time of booking. Any resulting fees or charges are determined and levied by the Professional, not by Bookable U.

4. REFUNDS

Bookable U takes absolutely no responsibility for refund procedures.

No Direct Refunds from Bookable U: Bookable U is not responsible for issuing, processing, or guaranteeing any refunds. Our role is limited to providing the payment processing technology for the transaction between the User and the Professional.

Refunds are the Professional's Responsibility: All matters concerning refunds—including eligibility, partial refunds, and the method of payment—are handled directly and exclusively by the Professional. Any request for a refund must be made to the Professional with whom you booked the service.

Payment Processing: Funds paid by a User through the Bookable U platform (minus any applicable processing or platform fees) are directed to the Professional. Therefore, the decision to refund these funds rests entirely with the Professional, in accordance with their own policies and relevant consumer protection laws.

5. SERVICE QUALITY AND DISPUTES

Bookable U makes no representation or warranty regarding the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided by Professionals on the Platform. We do not employ, vet (beyond a basic profile check), or endorse any Professional.

Should a dispute arise between a User and a Professional regarding a cancellation, a refund, or the quality of service provided, the parties must resolve the issue directly with each other. Bookable U is not a party to your service agreement and will not act as a mediator, arbitrator, or adjudicator in any disputes.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By using the Bookable U Platform, you expressly acknowledge and agree that Bookable U shall not be liable for any losses, damages, costs, or expenses (direct or indirect) arising from:

  • A Professional's cancellation policy.
  • A Professional's refusal or failure to issue a refund.
  • The quality or delivery of the service provided by a Professional.
  • Any dispute between a User and a Professional.

Your recourse for any issues related to a service, cancellation, or refund is directly with the Professional with whom you entered into a service agreement.

7. CONTACT INFORMATION

If you have questions regarding the functionality of the Bookable U Platform or your account, please contact our support team at support@bookableu.com.
